Carla TothArtist statementArt has always been a part of my life. I spent a lot of time outside drawing as a kid, painting, doing decopage, painting with acrylics, tye die , making paper mache objects, spending 4 years in art class in high school- around the pottery wheel, going to Southern Illinois for around 3 years learning fine arts, sculpture, & design. I continued my dream and education at the American Academy of Art in Chicago and graduated with an associate in Lettering & Design.I worked at 4 different printing companies doing keyline paste up, produce photographs on stat machine, designed flyers, ads, and typesetting.I did attend a watercolor class with Margi Hafer at the Tall Grass School in Park Forest, IL. I am working on shows to to enter in various meetings and some art for some friends.My work has a unique quality of variety, spirituality, and it is apart of my life as a wife, mom, family, church, friends, and animals.
